Nicko McBrain Memoir

Nicko McBrain, the longtime drummer for Iron Maiden, has announced plans to release a memoir titled 'Hello Boys and Girls!' on October 22nd via Harper NonFiction. McBrain, who retired from Maiden's touring lineup in 2024, will share his story, including his time in Maiden and other projects like Streetwalkers and the Pat Travers Band. In a statement, McBrain expressed his excitement about working with Harper NonFiction, saying: 'I'm very excited and honored to be working with the wonderful Harper NonFiction Team on my very own book full of lots of fun stories, anecdotes and of course my incredible experiences with some of the greatest musicians and performers from the 70s, 80s and beyond.' He added that he is 'blessed to be able to finally share my path to where I am today, in my own words, with the world.' McBrain also mentioned that the book may include some risqué anecdotes, saying: 'Who cares? I'll deal with the repercussions of that later.' Pre-orders for the book are now available. Iron Maiden, with current live drummer Simon Dawson, will be touring Europe with Halestorm in May and June, and will launch a North American leg with Anthrax and Megadeth this summer. The band will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this fall, but they won't be attending the ceremony in Los Angeles due to their tour schedule. Instead, they will be performing in New Zealand. McBrain's memoir is expected to provide a unique insight into his life and career, and fans of Iron Maiden and rock music in general are eagerly anticipating its release.
