Megadeth Records Ride

Megadeth's guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari recently spoke with Jimmy Kay of The Metal Voice about the band's decision to record a version of Metallica's 'Ride The Lightning'. According to Mäntysaari, he is 'happy' with how the track turned out, stating 'I love how it came out'. The song, which is the title track of Metallica's 1984 album, features a co-writing credit for Dave Mustaine, the leader of Megadeth. In the interview, Mäntysaari discussed the process of recording the song, saying 'I think it's a great version' and expressing his enthusiasm for the final product. The decision to record 'Ride The Lightning' is a notable one, given the complex history between Megadeth and Metallica. The song is expected to be released as part of Megadeth's upcoming album, although no official release date has been announced.
